The weather in Dorado is perfect. Year-round, the temperatures range from 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, making Dorado warm and comfortable. Snowbirds will love escaping winter to this warm, sunny paradise. Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean filled with tropical rainforest biomes. As a result, the island does get ample rain. The rainy season is from April to November, but often rain showers are short, and at least part of the day is filled with sunny skies. The rain feeds the ecosystem here and creates stunning waterfalls in El Yunque National Park, the island’s natural rainforest. Transportation

Old San Juan is a 30-45-minute drive from Dorado and a 1.5 hr drive to Fajardo, which offers beautiful beaches and bioluminescent bays. There is also El Yunque National Park, and ferries to some of the most beautiful islands in Puerto Rico are only a 1.5-hour drive away. Surfing is popular on the island's north coast and west side in Rincon.
